Overview: Literably's graphs, rostering system, and data exports are all designed around a regular school year calendar. Additionally, by default we will prohibit students from submitting assessments over the summer (from June 23-August 4th) to ensure data integrity. Attempting to use your Literably subscription over the summer months without notifying us is not recommended.
If your school or district is operating a Summer School, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will set you up with a separate summer school account.
Note: if your district wishes to roster its students via Clever over the summer, below are a few Clever Help Center articles that may be useful to review:
- Clever: Summer School Overview
- Clever: Pausing your District's SIS Data Sync
- Clever: Custom Data - Overview and Management
- Literably: How to Implement Clever
If you're using Clever during the summer, the main decision your district will need to make is whether or not you want to "Pause your Sync" for Summer School (which is Clever's default). If possible, it is highly recommended that you Pause your Sync unless you anticipate that your students in Literably will change frequently (via your SIS) during the summer months.
What happens to rosters over the summer?
if Literably receives an automated data feed from your student information system (via Clever or OneRoster), we will continue to use that data feed to update class lists on Literably.
If not, then in the Northern Hemisphere, class lists will be automatically archived on July 15. In the Southern Hemisphere, they will be archived on January 1. After these dates, you are free to upload rosters for the following school year.
If you think you might need access to your students' Literably data during the summer, it is recommended that you download a data export before July 15.
