Uploading/adding students' initial reading levels Follow
If your district is just starting with Literably and you have current reading levels for your students, we can work with you to upload those levels to Literably, and Literably will start each student off at the appropriate level (under the "Next Assessment" column).
Note: If reading levels are not provided, then by default Literably will start each student at the beginning of his/her grade level.
Here are the instructions for uploading reading levels, depending on how your district handles rostering:
Manual Upload: If your district is manually uploading teachers.csv and students.csv, then please complete the Initial Level column in the students.csv file with each student's current reading level. Literably can accept F&P, DRA, STEP and Rigby PM Benchmark levels and will auto-detect the leveling system used as long as the same system is used for all students.
OneRoster SFTP (used with or without ClassLink): If your district is sending us OneRoster files via SFTP, then please include this column in the users.csv file: metadata.literably.
If you'd like to upload initial reading levels but can't do so via your district's OneRoster files, you can also send us a spreadsheet (.csv format) with two columns: sis_id and score. In the sis_id column, put each student's sourcedid (as listed in the users.csv in your OneRoster files). In the score column, put each student's current reading level. In this type of file, we can only accept LEXILE, DRA, and F&P levels. Please submit your CSV here: https://literably.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.
Clever: If your district is using Clever to roster teachers and students, then please create a spreadsheet (.csv format) with two columns: sis_id and score. In the sis_id column, put each student's SIS ID (as listed in Clever). In the score column, put each student's current reading level. Literably can accept LEXILE, DRA, and F&P levels via this method; make sure to indicate to us which scheme the levels are stored in. Please submit your CSV here: https://literably.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.
Additional details about the above processes:
- In the files described above, if there is a blank cell for the student's initial level, no new data is uploaded for that student in Literably.
- In the files described above, if there is an initial level listed for a student, Literably will rewrite the student's initial level (found under the "Next Assessment" column) unless that student has taken at least one assessment previously.
