Draft Email to Parents (Clever) Follow
Hello! I hope all is well!
I'm writing to tell you about Literably, a new tool that I'd like your student to use while they're at home.
I would like your student to complete a reading on Literably by [date]. I know you're busy, so I'll jump right to the key information. Please let me know if you have any questions.
What is Literably? Literably is a website/app that records students reading aloud and asks them comprehension questions. Literably then sends me information on your students' reading, so that I can better support them.
How To:
Logging In:
- On a laptop or Chromebook, students can go to Clever and click on the Literably icon. Or they can go to literably.com/login and click "Log in with Clever."
- On an iPad, students should click this link, install and open the Literably iPad App and click "Log in with Clever."
Reading: Once your student logs in, Literably will play a video that will introduce them to the program. Then, your student will read aloud, answer some questions, and log out. It should take your student 10-15 minutes at most. Here is a quick video that explains the process.
Important: Please do not help your student with their oral reading or comprehension while they are using Literably. The goal is to see what your student can do on their own, so that I can better support them going forward.
Please let me know if you have any questions, and I will be happy to help.
Thank you,
