What is Literably Reading Comprehension? Follow
Literably Reading Comprehension is a measure of silent passage comprehension skills aimed at students in grades 2-5, where the ability to comprehend texts read silently becomes more important. Along with Literably's Oral Reading Fluency assessment, Reading Comprehension can provide crucial data regarding students' ability to read and comprehend connected text at their grade level.
Each Reading Comprehension assessment contains four passages: two informational (non-fiction) and two literary (fiction). Each text is followed by six multiple-choice comprehension questions. Students are able to refer back to the text when answering the questions, and they can go back to previous questions within each text. However, they cannot navigate back to a previous text once they have moved to the next text.
The multiple choice comprehension questions contain a mixture of literal and inferential questions. All questions were created to align to one of the CCSS ELA Standards for Reading Literature or Informational Text.
