How to Regrade Literably Assessments Follow
Teachers have the ability to regrade Phonological Awareness (PA) and Phonics assessments in Literably. This may be helpful if the teacher is aware of factors that may make it hard for Literably graders to score a student's responses. For example, if a student has an accent or speech difference, this may not be apparent to Literably graders, but teachers can use the regrade feature after an assessment has been graded to change how a response was scored.
To regrade a PA or Phonics assessment, click on the link to the assessment to view the results page. Under the Item Performance section, click on the pencil icon next to the prompt you would like to regrade:
After listening to the audio, type your student's answer in the "Response" box, and click "Save":
There are 4 scenarios for how students may respond:
1. If the student's answer matches the correct response exactly (if there is a hyphen, this is optional), the item will be scored as correct or 1/1:
2. If the student's answer contains the correct response plus additional words, the item will be scored as correct or 1/1. The additional utterances will be marked as insertions:
3. If the student's answer is left blank, the item will be scored as an omission or 0/1:
4. If the student's answer does not contain the correct response but a different answer, the item will be scored as a substitution or 0/1:
Finally, clicking on the clock icon will display an edit history that contains all of the regrades of this item:
