Book intros and blurred text features Follow
On Literably, as a default setting, all students will see their assessment text blurred out until they click "Start" and begin recording. This blurred text feature is in place to prevent students from doing any "pre-reading," which could artificially inflate their Literably scores.
When the feature is turned on*:
- Students will be presented with a short introduction to their Literably assessment when they log into Literably.
- Students will then click the "Next Page" button.
- Students will then see their assessment text blurred out.
- Students will then click the "Start" button to unblur their assessment text and begin recording.
Please note: the "book intros" feature is optional, and schools/districts can request that it be turned off. However, the blurred text feature is now the default setting on Literably. As a result, all students will need to remember to click the "Start" button in order to unblur their assessment text and start recording when assessing on an iPad.
