How can I delete an assessment from a student's history? Follow
Occasionally, a teacher might need to have a student's assessment deleted from the student's assessment history.
1. What are some reasons to delete an assessment?
- The student took an assessment without being prompted by a teacher.
- The student took an assessment outside a district's/school's assessment window.
- The assessment was taken by someone other than the student (e.g., by a different student, a sibling, or a parent).
2. What kinds of assessments do not need to be deleted?
- If an assessment was not graded (e.g., it was marked unscorable because it was "too short" or "unintelligible"), it does not need to be deleted, as it would not affect the student's levels.
- If a student took an assessment without being prompted, but you feel that the data from the assessment is valid.
3. What do I need to do to delete an assessment?
- A teacher or school admin (not parent or student) should contact support@literably.com with the following information:
- The name and email address of the teacher
- The name of the student
- The date and title of the assessment to be deleted
- Brief reason why the assessment needs to be deleted
- Literably will process requests to delete assessments once per week. No further action is required.
- Deleted assessments cannot be restored once deleted.
4. Can I reassess the student before an assessment is deleted?
- Yes, even if you are waiting for an assessment to be deleted, the student can still log into Literably and take another assessment. Please double-check the student's "Next Assessment" level and, if necessary, manually adjust the level and text of the next assessment for the student.
