Understanding My Admin Dashboard Follow
Overview Video
The Literably dashboard experience was updated for district and school admins in April 2023. Here is an overview of how it works:
Dashboard Features
Below is the new landing page for district or school admins, which organizes teachers by school:
1. Admin Dashboard:
Clicking on "Admin Dashboard" at the top of your screen takes you to your home page. If you're a district admin, this page lists lists the schools in your district. If you're a school admin, this lists the teachers at your school.
2. Schools
Clicking on the name of a school allows you to view the teachers at the school and their associated sections. If you have access to multiple schools, click on the school drop-down to toggle among schools. The arrows next to the "Name" and "Grade Level(s)" columns allow you to sort by first name and grade, and the page navigation in the lower-right allows you to view multiple pages of teachers.
You can also search for teachers by name:
Clicking on the name of a teacher allows you to view their students. You can copy students to your dashboard for monitoring using these directions.
3. My Classes
Clicking on "My Classes" allows you to see your students. This may include students who are associated with you in your SIS (if you're also a teacher), or students you have copied to your dashboard for monitoring.
4. Admin Settings
Depending on your level of admin privileges, you may have some or all of the options available when you click on your email (more details here):
As a district admin, you can select "Manage Admins" to manually assign admin privileges to teachers (using the "Add admin" button) or edit privileges for existing admins:
Please note that we would recommend for school admins to be set up primarily using your district or school's main rostering method (e.g., Clever, OneRoster/Classlink, or manual CSV uploads); however, the method above is an alternate way of manually creating school admins. School admins created in this way will have their admin status copied over into the new school year, so it may be necessary for district admins to review their dashboard periodically and unassign school admins if those individuals no longer need admin privileges.
