Understanding the ORF Data on My Teacher Dashboard Follow
After your students submit their oral reading fluency assessments, they will be graded within 24 hours, and you will see their most recent results on your teacher dashboard, under the Oral Reading Fluency assessment pane:
Note: Clicking the triangles next to each column header allows you to sort the data in your dashboard.
- Name: Student name. Students with a
are recommended for reassessment (more info here).
- Instr Level:
- Instructional Reading Level, defined as the highest level at which the student has scored >=90% accuracy and >=60% comprehension.

- A star next to the instructional level means that the level is estimated, rather than confirmed.
- Ind Level :
- Estimated Independent Level, defined as the highest level at which the student has scored >=95% accuracy and >=60% comprehension within the past 30 days of their assessment.

- Next Assessment:
- The category and level/genre of the next assessment. based on student's last graded assessment results.
- Literably automatically alternates between fiction and non-fiction texts each time a student's next ORF assessment is assigned. (More info on Literably's re-leveling criteria here.)
- Teachers can preview or manually assign the next assessment using these directions.
- Last Assessment:
- Title and level of student's last graded assessment (in most cases).
- If there are no previously graded assessments, Literably will display the most recent non-graded recording, along with the reason it was not graded (e.g., read only first page, zero volume, etc.).
- For a full list of assessments a student has taken, click on a student's name to view their student detail page.
- Click on name of assessment to view the graded assessment page.
- Title and level of student's last graded assessment (in most cases).
- Score: Oral reading rate of student's last graded assessment. More info here.
- Blue = exceeding grade-level expectations
- Green = meeting grade-level expectations
- Yellow = approaching grade-level expectations
- Red = not yet meeting grade-level expectations
- %: Oral reading accuracy of student's last assessment.
- Comp: Comprehension score (as a percentage of 5 multiple choice questions) on last graded assessment.
- Date: Date of the last graded assessment.
